About The Role

Reporting to the Head of the London Office, this is a growth-focused opportunity designed for a Senior Assistant Portfolio Manager or Associate Portfolio Manager ready to transition into a Junior Portfolio Manager role.

You’ll work alongside experienced Portfolio Managers, taking on more responsibility in managing client portfolios, contributing to investment decisions, and leading client conversations. You’ll be trusted to deliver exceptional service, strengthen relationships with clients and advisers, and support the strategic growth of our business.

This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and grow into a future Portfolio Manager.

Accountabilities

  • Support and collaborate with Portfolio Managers in managing client portfolios.
  • Manage payment administration, set up new accounts, prepare client documentation.
  • Produce and dispatch valuations and client packs.
  • Prepare investment review letters and monitor portfolios.
  • Ensure all portfolios are updated and set up correctly.
  • Act as a liaison between different internal departments and build relationships with our back office teams.
  • Develop skills to handle client queries.

Skills And Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in wealth management or investment management, ideally in an APM or Associate PM role.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management principles and client servicing.
  • Completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
  • Progressing through CISI Level 6 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Able to learn and follow processes and work efficiently.
