We are seeking a technically proficient and experienced Search Architect to lead the design and development of advanced search-driven applications in our Data and Analytics Business Unit. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, requiring hands-on programming skills, architectural vision, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through the full software development lifecycle.

- Architect and optimize search solutions using platforms like Elasticsearch, Solr, Coveo, Algolia, or Lucidworks.
- Lead project execution, manage timelines, and oversee the delivery of user stories and features.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Define project scope, estimate solutions, and determine optimal team structures.
- Support multiple Agile Scrum teams through planning, scoping, and continuous delivery of new product capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code using languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Coordinate with offshore teams and clients to resolve technical dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Mentor development teams, providing guidance on design, architecture, and best practices.
- Promote a shared vision and consistent technical practices across teams.
- Engage with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Partner with Technical Architects to define and implement effective technical strategies.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, influencing direction and driving innovation.
- Minimum 8+ years of professional experience developing applications with some of that time on a focus on Search technologies i.e. Coveo, Solr, Lucidworks etc..
- At least 2 full-cycle implementations of Search solutions (discovery, design, implementation, optimization) as a Search Architect.
- Hands on experience with search platforms such as Elasticsearch, Solr, Coveo, Algolia, or Lucidworks and strong programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of software delivery methodologies and experience leading teams through implementation.
- Proven ability to estimate project scope and define team structures.
- Demonstrated success managing complex or large-scale consulting projects.
- Skilled in creating and presenting technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for mentoring and developing team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills And Education:
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Certification in (Insert technologies).
- Experience with authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $165,000 to $180,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
