What You Will Contribute

A Production Operator will work with all colleagues to make a quality product efficiently. Depending on the position place within the plant, a new operator may be responsible to perform any of the following functions:

  • Maintain raw material supplies
  • Raw material pretreatment
  • Wash / Sour process
  • Filter preparation and operation
  • Operating the ion exchange system
  • Thin liquor concentrator and thick liquor evaporator
  • Pasteurization
  • Product drying and packaging
  • Warehousing

All Production Operators are required to be able to perform the following functions:

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Manufacturing products according to established procedures to ensure that they meet specifications.
  • Monitoring multiple production processes utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary.
  • Communicate with production, maintenance, Management, to continually improve facility processes and promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Operating equipment throughout facility such as pumps, valves, tanks, evaporators, dryers, packing, palletizers, forklifts, etc.
  • Performing sanitation and CIP activities.
  • Product sampling and testing.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Makes You Stand Out

The preferred candidate for Production Operator must have:

  • A High School/GED diploma.
  • Ability to work a 12hr rotating shift schedule (days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays)
  • Production processing experience preferred; with preference given to those with continuous flow production experience.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting over 50lbs.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Good math skills, a mechanical aptitude, and have good trouble shooting skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers with the ability to quickly learn in house programs and systems.
