About The Role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Dietitian to join our Allied Health team. This casual position is predominantly to cover regular weekdays and leave cover (Mon-Fri) across our Pimlico and Hyde Park campuses. Our Allied Health team's typical working day is from 8AM to 4PM.

Salary range: $43.68 - $58.59 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, which will rotate through a range of clinical areas, whilst contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practice models of dietetic care.  Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of nutrition care to adults across a range of clinical areas, including both inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in professional mentoring.

About You

The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics service in a hospital setting and the ability to manage caseloads across a broad range of clinical areas
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement, evidence based practice and professional development
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and time management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Minimum of one-year full time equivalent clinical experience- recommended
• Accredited Practising Dietitian status
