Why Your Role Matters

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the planning and implementation of search engine optimisation (SEO), developing short and long form content and assisting with marketing activity focused on recruiting future students.  

In this role, you’ll support the Marketing Lead in developing and executing effective go-to-market strategies, with a strong focus on search and content marketing. You will create, manage, and optimise search content and campaigns to capture and nurture prospective student leads, while providing regular performance analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement. Working closely with Digital Marketing and external partners, you’ll help enhance our search strategy and digital customer experience using tools like Siteimprove and Adobe Experience Cloud. Collaboration with marketing, content, web teams, and recruitment stakeholders will be key to optimizing websites, landing pages, and messaging, ensuring the customer remains at the heart of everything we do. 

This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday), with hybrid working arrangements available. This position reports to the Marketing Lead and does not have any direct reports.  

Who You Are

We are looking for a strong writer bringing strong SEO experience as well as someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to engage people, who can demonstrate alignment with UNSW values and comes equipped with: 

  • A relevant tertiary education with demonstrated experience working with SEO and content marketing. Experience with an agency or large matrix organisation preferable 
  • Demonstrated writing skills (short and long-form) 
  • Experienced with producing content for social media platforms  
  • Digital marketing experience including understanding of marketing automation, SEO optimisation and customer lifecycle marketing 
  • Experience working with ADOBE stack or equivalent enterprise level marketing solutions is essential 
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders including at senior level 
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organisation, ideally with experience of Agile Ways of Working 
  • Previous experience coaching others (as this position will be mentoring the Digital Content Officer in the team)
