Take advantage of the chance to be a part of the team at Carlton & United's iconic Abbotsford Brewery! As a Fitter working across the Abbotsford site, you will work alongside other technicians, mechanical and electrical specialists and operators to ensure we deliver on our vision to bring enjoyment and connection to everyday moments in life. This position is a key technical resource supporting the maintenance routines across a variety of departments at the Abbotsford site.

Please note: This role will require the ability to work on a rotating roster as additional coverage, typical shifts are 8-hour day, afternoon, and nights shifts Mon - Fri. As an additional coverage role your roster will change from time-to-time based on site needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the plant and all machinery/equipment is working at optimal efficiency
• Diligently conducting planned maintenance inspections and successfully completing preventative maintenance activities
• Effectively guiding and collaborating with others as needed to optimise resource utilisation and minimise any potential losses caused by downtime
• Support of the day-to-day production team to achieve performance targets by leveraging your expertise and experience to promptly identify and rectify faults, even under demanding circumstances
• Engage in problem-solving activities to effectively identify and eliminate root causes when issues arise
• Maintaining effective communication channels with colleagues and management
• Recommending enhancements to optimise maintenance processes through a continuous improvement mindset
• Maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues, including the use of correct PPE, conducting pre-task risk assessments and ensuring accurate reporting of safety incident/injuries

About You

• You are a trade qualified mechanical fitter
• You have demonstrated your ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• You have a strong commitment to safety, ensuring the well-being of both yourself and your team by adhering to processes and guidelines
• You excel at performing repetitive tasks with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high quality standards
• You have a problem-solving mindset, capable of making decisions and thinking creatively to offer innovative solutions
• You have a track record of being adaptable and flexible, able to embrace change and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with relevant systems such as SAP
