Description
SFI is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in full-stack development, a collaborative mindset, and a proven ability to deliver secure, user-friendly applications in Agile/DevSecOps environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect software applications to meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications using Angular (v8+ or latest).
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality front-end code.
- Implement reusable, modular components and manage application state.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and external data sources for dynamic data-driven functionality.
- Optimize performance to ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 code following best practices.
- Perform unit and end-to-end testing (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, etc.).
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Interface with senior-level customer management and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues, delivering timely fixes and improvements.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code repositories, and user interface guides.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), OR six (6) years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in: GitHub, API Gateway, PostgreSQL, Java, Node.js, Angular, AWS.
- Experience with database migration projects.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps environments.
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Experience developing UI for customer-facing applications.
- Experience building RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
- Familiarity with AWS services: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
- Understanding of security best practices, including authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT).
- Experience with Angular Universal (server-side rendering) and PWAs.
- Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Previous federal government project experience a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Additional Information:
- Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Certifications, and Credit History.
- (Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting.)
- Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 annually. SFI maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in skills, experience, market conditions, and location.
