Shift Engineer

The Colombo Ice Company (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

CICL owns the most modernized Ice Cream manufacturing plant in the South Asian Region.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering activities during the shift in production and other areas such as Refrigeration systems, WTP, WWTP, Cold Rooms, HVAC, LPG, Boiler, Steam systems and Compressed air systems.
• Attend all the breakdowns and maintenance of production machinery, utility systems and avoid delays due to machine breakdowns.
• Implement TPM, 5S and maintain relevant standards and quality systems.
• Maintain necessary data for analysis and decision making.
• Supervision of contractor interventions.
• Follow SOPs and implement necessary new SOPs whenever required.
• Attend to the maintenances of buildings and related Areas.
• Involve in future expansion works of the factory.

Person Specifications

• BSc Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical & Process, Production)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG sector.
