Delaware North Australia is seeking a full-time Assistant Cafe Manager to join our vibrant Rustica & Little Italy venues at Melbourne Airport. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll support the Restaurant Manager in driving daily operations, leading a high-energy team, and elevating service standards. What You Will Do?

• Assist in managing day-to-day café and restaurant operations with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Champion exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
• Drive financial performance through budget management, stock control and labour oversight
• Ensure compliance with OH&S and food safety standards
• Lead, train and motivate a diverse team to consistently exceed expectations
• Promote and celebrate our food and beverage offering, ensuring staff are knowledgeable and guests are engaged

More About You

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy cafe or restaurant setting
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Energetic, guest-focused and self-motivated with strong leadership skills
• Skilled in team development, recruitment and performance coaching
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
