Position: Safety Supervisor 

Report to Project Manager 

Description Of Scope Of Work:

Responsibilities

1. Daily Monitoring And Inspections:

• Conduct regular site inspections and observations to monitor compliance with safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. 
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions, and work with the project team to implement immediate corrective actions. 
• Maintain a daily log of safety observations and follow-up actions. 

2. Safety Briefings And Training:

• Conduct daily safety toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings to address relevant safety topics and reinforce safe work practices. 
• Provide safety orientation and task-specific training for all site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors. 
• Ensure all workers are competent and authorized to perform their assigned tasks safely. 

3. Hazard Identification And Mitigation:

• Proactively identify potential safety hazards and conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all construction activities. 
• Develop and implement effective control measures to eliminate or mitigate identified risks. 
• Monitor the effectiveness of control measures and update the risk management plan as necessary. 

4. Incident Support And Reporting:

• Assist in the investigation of safety incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. 
• Determine the root causes and contributing factors, and work with the project team to implement corrective and preventive actions. 
• Prepare and submit comprehensive incident reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.  

5. Safety Documentation And Recordkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including training logs, inspection checklists, permits, and safety meeting minutes. 
• Ensure all safety-related documentation is readily available and accessible to the project team. 
• Provide daily project status updates using Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Power BI for the project dashboard. 

6. Collaboration And Communication:

• Coordinate and collaborate with the project team, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration of safety considerations. 
• Communicate safety-related information, updates, and concerns to all relevant parties in a timely and effective manner. 
• Participate in project meetings and provide safety-related input  

And Recommendations.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

• Identify and ensure compliance with all applicable local, regional, and national safety regulations and standards. 
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for construction activities. 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in safety regulations and communicate the implications to the project team.
