We are currently looking for an Anodizing Operator to join our busy and growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

General Accountability
Reporting directly to the Anodizing Supervisor, the Anodizing Operator will operate the anodizing line and provide general support of assigned functions within the Anodizing department.
Key Job Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
- Assist in the operation of the Anodizing Department
Receive Parts:
Machine Shop—check all paperwork, confirm quality agreements with the shop order, complete job card
Outside Customers
- Visually inspect for damaged parts
- Check PS and PO for processing instructions
- Assign receiving report number and center in work order book
- Complete job card
- Label all related containers with work order number (color label)
- Transfer parts to processing area
- Pass paperwork to office for processing
Process Parts:
- Prepare daily processing schedule
- Mask parts as required
- Assist when parts require special racking or processing
- Check ‘In process inspection sheet’ for compliance and critical dimensions
- Identify ‘nonconforming products’ and complete ‘Rejection Report’
- Perform final inspection and complete ‘In process Inspection Report’
- Maintain records for one year
Shipping Parts
- After acceptance of final inspection for Romet parts, stamp all paperwork
- Transfer parts to assembly storage area
- After acceptance on final inspection for customers, stamp all paperwork
- Arrange for shipment via courier
Weekly:
- Check all ‘solution control’ and PH meter calibration records
- Operate line while operator performs analyses of chemicals in tanks
Monthly:
- Perform abrasion test and coating weight test
- Complete necessary report forms
Quarterly:
- Prepare test panels as per specifications and forward to independent laboratory for light fastness,
corrosion resistance, adhesion wet tape
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational for optimum efficiency
- Assist with outside sales and customer quotations
- Control and maintain inventory of all chemicals and necessary documentation
- Control use and disposal of chemicals
- Regenerate DI Water
- Tools and Racks maintenance.
- Maintain quality assurance records
- Housekeeping as required
- All other duties as assigned by the Anodizing Supervisor
Skills And Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of computer, standard corporate software (Microsoft Office, ERP-Navision GP Dynamics preferred)
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, presentation skills are required
- Solid analytical skills and integrative thinking
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- College or University degree in Chemistry or relevant experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
