Your Team, Your Impact

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our firmware team as a Firmware Intern. As a member of the firmware team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing firmware for products used in the storage domain space (think PCIe / NVMe / NAND flash media). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual interested in gaining hands-on experience in firmware development for storage devices.

What You Can Expect

  • Feature Enhancement: Assist in the implementation of new features and improvements in existing firmware. Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to enhance the performance, reliability, and security of the firmware.
  • Debugging and Issue Resolution: Work closely with Firmware development and validation team, to identify and resolve firmware-related issues. Use debugging tools and techniques to analyze and troubleshoot firmware problems.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of firmware to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards. Develop and execute test cases, analyze test results, and collaborate with the team to address any identified issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of the firmware design, implementation, and testing procedures. This includes documenting code changes, writing technical specifications, and contributing to user manuals and application notes.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices in firmware development. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in firmware development for storage products.

What We're Looking For

​This is a paid internship position for a fixed duration, and it offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in firmware development for embedded systems. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the success of our firmware team. If you are passionate about firmware development, have a strong interest in storage systems, and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging environment, we would love to hear from you.

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in C, C++ or Rust programming languages is required. Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve firmware issues. Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving situations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document firmware-related activities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and knowledge with fellow team members. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of the firmware code and documentation.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience or projects related to firmware development, embedded systems, or storage devices would be a plus.
