Hybrid Workforce:

Job Summary:
The Senior Product Owner role will drive growth and innovation in Experity’s product portfolio. Serving today’s end users, while meeting the expanding needs of our growing client base, this person will work closely with Product Managers, development/engineering, and other teams. This role serves as the subject matter expert between product and engineering to ensure the features brought to life in Experity products align to the company vision, market needs, and deliver technologies that improve the healthcare industry.
The Senior Product Owner will collaborate and align with their manager peers to ensure that the persona(s) and journey effectively represent the interactions and hand-offs between each step. As we grow, it may also include adding new businesses that are acquired and/or launched within the journey segment.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
- Conduct customer-centric, data-driven product discovery, including regularly observing customer interactions (sales, install, service, support) and conducting customer interviews.
- Manage risk in new product efforts through value, usability, feasibility, and business testing, measuring and reporting results.
- Contribute to the creation of and update/maintain user personas.
- Contribute to the creation of and update/maintain the journey map as the product(s) evolve.
- Work closely with product manager, users, and internal stakeholders to ensure features are the best possible market fit.
- Create and author items in the engineering tracking system in required formats (such as Gherkin) in the smallest consumable amount of work and contain clear acceptance criteria.
- Create and manage the engineering backlog and sprint plans for your scrum team in concert with the overall product strategy.
- Maintain and ensure target process features are up to date with rollout plans, including feature gates, beta customers, and rollout type.
- Ensure each release has a feature for rollout at beta and production, and stories written to enable clients accordingly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, engineers, and product quality to ensure delivery against the product roadmap.
- Drive transparency to backlog detail, progress, roadblocks, etc. (across partners, Agile teams, senior leadership, etc.).
- Participate in support/Kanban standups, as needed.
- Represent your product in formal executive settings and reviews.
- Partner with the go-to-market team to prepare operations, marketing, sales, account management, and support product channels for launch.
- Lead by example and hold your team accountable to delivering outcomes that matter.
- Mentor and train more junior product owners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, Business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel:
- Ability to travel as needed (minimal).
Experience:
- Five plus years of product owner experience, ideally in a healthcare/healthcare tech setting.
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience with healthcare clinical technology, ideally in imaging workflows and not just general healthcare SaaS or administrative systems such as EMR, HIS, etc.
- Demonstrated experience defining and delivering a roadmap of features that improve NPS and top-line revenue.
- Experience conducting and analyzing customer and product discovery efforts (e.g. interviews, usability tests).
- Experience proposing and analyzing product KPIs.
- Experience with Scrum and Scrum software tools.
- Prior experience in healthcare technology.
- Demonstrated experience driving ambiguous issues to resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities, including multiple products.
- Strong relationships with your past engineering & design counterparts.
- Solution-oriented, open minded and positive attitude.
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- PACS/RIS imaging workflow experience.
- FDA-regulated product development experience.
- Familiarity with HL7 and imaging-adjacent systems.
- Technical product orientation (can go deep with engineering).
Compensation:
- Budgeted between $84,750 and $125,000 dependent upon years of applicable experience.

- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results.
- Patient Engagement (PE): Software that shows patients the wait times at various clinics, allows patients to reserve a spot in line if there's a wait, and book the appointment.
- Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment.
