  • Do you enjoy the role of Project Manager?
  • Would you like to work in the field between R&D and production of microelectronics?
  • And would you like to travel to Asia as part of the job?

If yes, you should join our NPI Project Management Team.

About Demant

Demant develops and produces cutting-edge, high-quality hearing aids. Our focus is helping people with hearing loss to get a better quality of life all over the world.

Demant in Ballerup is the global competence center for microelectronics and the main production site for amplifiers used in Demant’s hearing aids.

We strive to obtain a state-of-the-art production setup and use the latest technology, enabling us to produce world-class amplifiers.

We are looking for a Project Manager with a deep technical understanding, effective coordination abilities, and a rich background in practical implementation to join our workforce.

The position as Project Manager
As Project Manager you will oversee your own portfolio of projects, where focus is to ensure new designs are effectively matured and prepared for volume manufacturing. Projects can vary in scale and complexity.

Your Primary Tasks Include:

Project Management:

  • Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business objectives.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor NPI projects from prototype to ramp-up.
  • Manage risks and keep track of dependencies,

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Organize and lead cross functional alignment across R&D, NPI Engineering, Procurement/Sourcing, Quality and with Suppliers.

In-House Prototyping and Product release

  • Create the basis for later outsourcing by executing local prototype builds and review design inputs to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
  • Mature the local manufacturing setup by building prototypes and at the same time deliver parts into design and verification flow of the new product
  • Build up the Device Master Record for the product and secure compliance with our local and global release processes
  • Responsibility for product release into volume production and secure design transfer

Outsourcing & Supplier Coordination:

  • Manage outsourcing activities to OSAT partners (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) and align on process capability, quality standards, and delivery schedules towards product release and ramp up.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, risk management and status updates.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.

You will be working together with nearly all departments in Ballerup as well as the R&D department at headquarters in Smørum and relevant OSAT partners.

As the job is onsite Ballerup, it is important you can start here from day one.

We have a flexible work setup and working from home is possible.

We expect around 35-40 days of travel per year to our production sites – mostly in China, but also Korea in the longer term. The trips will be with Category Managers, Process Engineers and Procurement Managers. For us work is not “just work”, we like to explore and do social activities together while traveling.

  • The NPI Project Management Team
  • You will join a team of eight people, each working within different areas bringing new product into volume production.

Your manager is Lars Poulsen, Senior Manager, NPI PMO & Documentation. Like the rest of the team, Lars has a big motivation for this field and will be a good sparring partner to you.

The team value an effective teamwork, where knowledge is shared, and help is only a desk away. We have a professional work atmosphere, but a good laugh is never far away.

What We Offer

When joining us, you will be introduced to an onboarding plan with a thorough introduction program. For us it is essential that you get a proper introduction to your new role and learn about the different business areas.

You will also be assigned to a mentor from the team, who will make sure you get all the necessary information about how we work and the new surroundings.

We promote a diverse and inclusive culture that values your input, with a high focus on your well-being, supported by health programs and a positive work atmosphere. We are committed to our employees’ well-being, and you will get the opportunity to join different social activities, clubs, fitness etc.

We encourage you to develop your career. If you wish, you can advance your skills, pursue a specialized career path, or perhaps take on a new role. Of course, it all depends on timing as well. But as you may sense, we would like to keep you in Demant for as long as possible.

  • Could we have a match?
  • You hold a BSc. or MSc. in Electronics, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

You have min. 3 years of relevant work experience within project management and product development where relevant competences to this job have been established.

You have experience collaborating with Asian business partners.

You are motivated by being close to the product manufacturing and find it motivating to work independently with your projects.

As part of a delivery organization, you see the value in stakeholder management as a part of a successful project.

You can stay focused even though things around you change and new decisions need to be made.

You work systematically and structured managing several tasks in parallel and you are confident in your coordination and planning.

As you will be part of an international work environment you are fluent in English; oral and written.

Finally, you participate actively in creating a healthy and social work environment.

Will you be a part of our team?
If all above sounds appealing to you, then submit your motivation and CV no later than 2nd of November 2025.

We expect to hold the 1st interview on the 7th of November, and the 2nd interview on the 12th and 13th of November.
