About The Role

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation systems. This is a hands-on role with scope for development and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and attend to mechanical breakdowns
• Work independently and collaboratively to support production goals
• Use MEX Work Orders to scope, execute, and close out maintenance tasks
• Partner with Electrical Trades personnel when required
• Support production teams to ensure smooth operations
• Contribute to safety, quality, and productivity improvements
• Assist with spare parts inventory management
• Apply fault-finding and diagnostic skills to resolve mechanical issues
• Maintain a strong safety-first mindset in all tasks
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to improve machine availability
• Maximise labour efficiency and promote safe working practices

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification as a Fitter or equivalent
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
