Company Description

We are looking for talented individuals who, in addition to their passion for their own role, also have strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission.
Job Description
Apply your technical skills at great heights - no wind energy experience required!
That’s possible at our wind farm: Hollandse Kust Zuid. Located 25 kilometers off the coast of Noordwijk, 139 wind turbines will generate 1.5 gigawatts of electricity. We’re building a team of 30+ service technicians to maintain these impressive machines. We’ll train you to become a fully qualified Service Technician.
Clean, safe energy that helps us achieve our goal: a fossil-free future. Will you help keep these giant machines running? Make the switch to a career in wind energy and start as a (basic) Service Technician at Hollandse Kust Zuid!
What will you do?
From our site office in IJmuiden, we ensure the smooth operation of the 139 wind turbines that make up the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) wind farm, operational since 2022. As a Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining these state-of-the-art turbines. What does that look like?
When you arrive in the morning, you’ll check the monitoring systems to see how the turbines are performing. Literally and figuratively. Most days, everything runs like clockwork, and you’ll proceed with scheduled maintenance. You’ll board the Crew Transport Vessel (CTV), a 2000-horsepower catamaran. As the boat reaches its top speed of 30 knots, you’ll watch the sun rise behind you. After about 45 minutes, the CTV drops you off at the base of one of the turbines: your workplace for the day. You’ll ascend 150 meters to the nacelle and get to work following clear instructions: performing inspections, replacing parts, cleaning where needed, and ensuring proper lubrication. In short, you’ll do everything necessary to keep this valuable installation running sustainably.
Your second task is troubleshooting. You’ll identify issues via the monitoring systems and many can be resolved with a reset from the site office. But sometimes, your hands and expertise are needed. You’ll grab a replacement part from the warehouse next to the office, hop on the boat, and fix the issue.
Of course, we won’t send you out to sea and into the sky unprepared. Your journey begins with a robust training program focused on technology and safety. In the first few years, you’ll benefit from the turbine supplier’s expertise both on the job and through a comprehensive training curriculum. After that, you’ll be a fully qualified Offshore Wind Service Technician, making a tangible contribution to a cleaner world. How exciting is that?

Shift rotation
You’ll work in a rotation schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. Each day starts and ends in IJmuiden, meaning you’ll sleep in your own bed during your on-shift. During your off-shift, you’re completely free, giving you a great balance between work and personal life.
Qualifications
Who are you?
You’re passionate about the technology of tomorrow and eager to contribute. You combine this with a problem-solving mindset and a strong awareness of safety. You’re responsible and capable of working independently, but you also understand the importance of being part of a close-knit team. Together, you get the job done. Additionally, you have:
- A completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Technology (or similar), or are about to graduate;
