Job Description
The Senior Financial & Procurement Analyst will play a key role in financial analysis and procurement across the company. This position is responsible for delivering in-depth financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to inform strategic decisions and maintain organizational financial health. Core duties include supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role also handles sourcing and purchase order processing for software, hardware, and services. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with modern financial and procurement tools. While this role will primarily focus on Strategy’s software business, the ideal candidate is enthusiastic both about software and Bitcoin.
In-Office Position: At Strategy, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office days with Fridays as work-from-home. Hours of work are 8:30 AM -6:00 PM.
Your Focus:
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting to help drive company strategy.
- Provide thorough financial analysis and recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models for long-term planning and scenario assessment.
- Prepare financial reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Partner with department heads to promote financial discipline and ensure compliance.
- Help implement a centralized procure-to-pay strategy to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Oversee all aspects of acquisitions and ongoing vendor management across major spend categories, including hardware, software, SaaS, professional services, and training.
- Lead vendor relationships, negotiations, RFPs, contracts, and issue resolution.
- Track industry trends and evaluate new technologies for cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with IT and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and compliant purchasing and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial data interpretation, technical bid analysis, and financial modeling (Excel and forecasting tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to interact with staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier/vendor relationship management, negotiation, procure-to-pay processes, and contracting.
- High ethical standards, independent work ethic, detail and process orientation, and ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver quality results under tight timelines.
- Strongly valued: Experience building or configuring financial planning modules in ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite).
