National Director of Purchasing

POSITION SUMMARY
The National Director of Purchasing is a strategic leadership role responsible for optimizing procurement strategies and ensuring safety compliance across 10X Roofing’s ecosystem of independently owned roofing companies generating significant annual revenue. This position will negotiate with national roofing manufacturers and supply companies to secure competitive pricing, terms, and service agreements. Additionally, the role will develop and implement national safety programs to drive OSHA compliance and promote a culture of safety excellence.

Success Looks Like

•  Competitive Pricing: Securing the lowest possible initial pricing for roofing materials to maximize cost savings for clients.
• Rebate Optimization: Establishing systems to ensure access to the largest rebates available in the industry.
• Strategic Partnerships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with supply houses and manufacturers to gain leverage in pricing, availability, and exclusive deals.

Objectives

• Build a buy-side community to establish a robust network for purchasing roofing materials, maximizing collective buying power and driving efficiency.
• Develop direct manufacturer relationships to secure enhanced pricing, availability, and support.
• Partner with national distributors to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Optimize manufacturer and distributor rebates to enhance profitability.
• Increase EBITDA for 10X Roofing clients by implementing effective strategies for financial growth.
• Create a scalable purchasing matrix supporting businesses of various sizes.
• Build industry goodwill by enhancing reputation and adding value within the roofing community.

Competencies

• Comprehensive product knowledge in commercial and residential roofing products.
• Expertise in roofing material procurement, with strong buy-side dynamics knowledge.
• Proven purchasing experience in roofing material procurement.
• Strong industry references.

Education And Experience

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or safety leadership within construction or roofing is required.
• Proven success in high-value contract negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional travel as required, at least 1x per month.
