Role Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Software Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems. This role requires deep expertise in modern cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and real-time data processing. As the technical lead, you will drive architectural decisions and mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in code, design, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect Scalable Systems:Design and document robust, high-performance, cloud-native solutions using AWS, Docker, and microservices architecture.
• Lead Technical Execution:Guide development teams through technical decisions, sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
• Integrate Distributed Systems:Architect and implement asynchronous workflows using Kafka, AWS SQS, and other messaging systems.
• Data Access & Processing:Optimize query performance and data access using Trino (Presto) in distributed data environments.
• DevOps & Infrastructure:Define infrastructure-as-code, containerization strategies, and deployment pipelines for high availability and reliability.
• Mentor & Guide Engineers:Provide architectural direction, enforce engineering best practices, and help upskill the team.
• Ensure Quality & Reliability:Promote secure coding practices, performance monitoring, and fault-tolerant system design.

Core Tech Stack:

• Programming Languages & Runtime:JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js
• Cloud Platform:AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Containerization & Orchestration:Docker, ECS or EKS
• Messaging & Event Streams:Apache Kafka, AWS SQS
• Data & Query Layer:Trino (Presto), distributed SQL engines
• Observability & Monitoring:CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus (or similar tools)

Technical Qualifications:

• 7+ years of backend software development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role
• Proven experience designing and deploying distributed, cloud-based systems at scale
• Expertise in AWS core services, including serverless and containerized architectures
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, stream processing, and asynchronous messaging systems
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows
• Strong proficiency with system design, performance optimization, and debugging complex production issues
