Job Description

The Associate Director of Training for the Immunology Access and Reimbursement Team is responsible for strategically leading, developing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that support the Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager and Customer Solutions Specialist Teams across AbbVie Patient Services. This role ensures the ongoing development of training initiatives, alignment with business objectives, and operational excellence through effective team leadership, collaborative engagement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager and Customer Solutions Specialist Team leadership and stakeholders to align development initiatives with business goals and outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a holistic training and development strategy in alignment with Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager and Customer Solutions Specialist Team objectives and broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure training programs are tailored to business needs, driving high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of training professionals, ensuring access to necessary resources for success.
  • Maintain current, relevant, and compliant training materials and curriculum, reflecting industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to Access and Reimbursement.
  • Employ diverse training delivery methods, such as e-learning modules, interactive workshops, webinars, and blended learning solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and partnership across cross functional stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess training effectiveness and impact.
  • Drive consistency in training messaging, ensuring all sessions and materials reflect AbbVie’s standards and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven experience in training leadership, preferably within healthcare or patient support settings.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering performance-focused training programs.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and training software.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing effective training strategies and programs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare training.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a training role, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences industry or similar experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Patient Services experience preferred.
  • People management in AbbVie Patient Services field or marketing.
