Job Function/Mission

Act to meet the company's strategic needs, focusing on protecting the organization. Identify, prevent, and resolve legal issues, participate in key corporate activities to deliver impactful results for the business, while navigating complex legal environments, minimizing risks, and respecting legal requirements. Member of the Executive Committee of the Mexican Affiliate.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Committee, actively engaging in strategic decision-making and supporting the General Manager and Brand Teams on business initiatives.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to the Mexico Affiliate across diverse areas, including public law, commercial law, antitrust, sanitary law, labor and civil law, and intellectual property.
  • Navigate complex legal environments to drive business impact, manage relationships with law firms, external counsel, and internal stakeholders, conduct investigations, and oversee litigation.
  • Supervise all legal proceedings and ensure decisions aligning with Legal Organization standards and business objectives; manage and assess the effectiveness of external counsel and negotiate legal fees.
  • Develop solutions for complex legal challenges, providing guidance on new product launches, collaborating on trademark and patent registrations, and advising on regulatory and pricing issues.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review strategic agreements, such as distribution, co-marketing, and co-promotion contracts.
  • Implement and review legal policies and procedures, advise on relevant corporate policies, and collaborate with the Office of Ethics and Compliance to support training, enforcement, and overall governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Specialization or post-graduation in Business, Corporate or Commercial Law.
  • Fluent English (written and conversation).
  • 8 + years of experience as in-house lawyer for Pharmaceutical Companies in management positions.
