Role reports to: MS&T Process Science Leader

Location: Mandra, Attiki

What you will do

The Technical Operations Science and Validation Scientist is responsible for assessing and executing the validation activities (mixing, filling/ packaging and cleaning & sanitization), investigations/ root cause analysis in case of out-of-specifications or issues during manufacturing, technical transfer activities for the industrialization of the new developed products, and for products transfer from different manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the annual validation master plan.
• Assess and execute the validation activities for mixing and filling/ packaging.
• Perform preliminary assessment, and the execution of the cleaning & sanitization validation activities to ensure compliant and efficient performance consistent with established guidelines and policies.
• Ensure the rigor of testing performed during all qualification/ validation activities to be consistent with International and local Authorities as well as Company requirements.
• Apply all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
• Ensure the robustness of the products’ technical transfer from the sending to the receiving manufacturing site within the region or from one region to another.
• Ensures mixing processes right at first time for the new products developed by Research & Development teams (scale-up and technical transfer activities).
• Collaborate with cross-functional local and regional teams (Operations, Quality, R&D) to identify opportunities and drive projects forward.
• Manage investigations, out-of-specification root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions for the Greek manufacturing site.
• Support during the Audits at the manufacturing site.
• Support to develop solutions for streamlining activity to create synergies cross functionally.
• Perform formulation laboratory activities as part of the root cause analysis or process improvement activities.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Physics/Chemistry, in Engineering or in a related field. Postgraduate studies are an asset.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in production environment and/or validation role is required.
• Understanding of manufacturing site operating models and GMP knowledge.   
• Proficient skills in English (verbal and written).
• Microsoft office tools and basic statistical methodologies.
• Good knowledge of raw materials, cosmetic formulated products, and industrialization processes is an asset, along with knowledge of the liquid cosmetics equipment technologies.
