Position Summary:

The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, schedule compliance, and cost effectiveness. This role acts as a bridge between design, field operations, and project management, facilitating communication and delivering solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project operations.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants on technical requirements.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
  • Support the development and tracking of project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor quality control, field activities, and ensure work is completed per plans and codes.
  • Assist in procurement and delivery tracking of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, meeting minutes, and logs.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute technical input to problem-solving.
  • Help ensure site safety and compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices.
  • Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Osha 30 Certification

  • EIT (Engineer in Training) or working toward PE license
  • LEED Accreditation or knowledge of sustainable building practices

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid field and office role
  • Must be able to visit active job sites; exposure to construction environments
  • May involve occasional evening or weekend work depending on project needs
