The Current South Shore offers 91 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments, and 26 memory care apartments, with a neighborhood atmosphere and maintenance-free lifestyle. It's located near South Shore Hospital and directly across from the South Weymouth Train Station, offering easy access for team members, and residents’ families and friends.

Job Description

The Wellness Administrative Assistant (WAA) will report to the Health and Wellness Director.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents, staff and families.
  • Coordinates interviews and orientation for new team members.
  • Ensures all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
  • Documents and updates the EHR as directed and under the supervision of the HWD.
  • Appropriately utilizes and keeps electronic documentation “devices” safe and secure within the community.
  • Participates in and attends all in-service training(s) as scheduled.
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
  • Perform and oversee staffing scheduling (state specific).
  • Assists with communication via telephone, facsimile and/or email with families, physicians, third party vendors and/or staff.
  • Schedules appointments for residents as directed from the nursing staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or ED

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year resident care experience required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aid a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferred dementia experience
