Your Role

The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for supporting the site, supervisor, and leadership team in timely execution of preventive maintenance, proactive and reactive workorders, creating documentation records in physical and virtual forms. In this role you will independently work in a safe manner to documented quality requirements, to ensure continuity and safe working of the site operations. You will work with other senior technicians to improve your understanding of site operations and site-specific equipment and related systems. Job duties include:

  • Performs a variety of equipment installation, maintenance, and repair work on assigned plant production equipment, buildings, facilities, and grounds.
  • Maintains and performs preventative maintenance or repair work on plant production equipment.
  • Performs carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, painting, and mechanical work on equipment, buildings, and facilities as needed.
  • Maintains required records, logs, and other data associated with equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Completes all documentation required to fulfill tasks and duties.
  • Adheres to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and complies with all relevant ISO procedures and work instructions.
  • Organizes and maintains a clean and orderly work area in accordance with the administrative General Housekeeping practices/procedures.
  • Performs all tasks safely and in a timely manner, following company PPE policies, OSHA standards, and other regulatory requirements (e.g., PSM, RCRA, Title V); completes necessary permits per site procedures, installs and repairs basic electrical systems to recognized standards, and consults with supervisors as needed to ensure compliance.
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism by adhering to company policies, safety standards (including PPE and OSHA), and MilliporeSigma values; attends required meetings and trainings, follows a weekly 4x10 schedule with rotating on-call duties, maintains a clean and organized work area, supports continuous improvement initiatives (5S, safety, quality), complies with IPEC cGMP/ISO standards, and seeks supervisor guidance as needed to ensure alignment with corporate and site expectations.

Shift Hours: Tuesday- Friday  6:00AM -4:30PM

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience working in mechanical fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC Tradesman certification/experience.

Pay Range for this position: $23-$36 per hour 

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
