The IT Operations Administrator at phData will be expected to:
- Manage and resolve IT support requests from employees, spanning device, account, application, server, and service issues.
- Answer employee questions regarding laptops, accounts, and cloud computing.
- Create and configure accounts for new employees, and de-provision accounts for departing employees
- Assist with answering security questionnaires from clients
- Change configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues
- Configure and ship new laptops to employees.
- Wipe and reinstall OS on laptops received from exit employees for reuse.
- Maintain IT asset inventory.
- Work on all kinds of IT-related projects and tasks.
- Involve actively in teams of cross-functional projects to assist in solving problems inclusive of different technologies straddling multiple work groups.
- Handle complex organization-wide SaaS-based application projects to ensure the optimal performance of applications and related infrastructure.
- Execute technology changes successfully with minimal downtime and disruption.
Experience And Other Requirements:
- A total of 3+ years of experience with at least 1 year as a System Admin or Network admin.
- Available to be in the Montevideo office as needed, up to 3 days a week.
- Available to work primarily second shift (i.e., 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM) with some flexibility in hours, along with at most 1 weekend shift on-call a month.
- Hands-on experience with macOS, Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server, MDM, Google Workspace, MS Azure AD, AWS, MS Office 365
- Experience with SSO and SCIM configurations
- Extensive experience and excellent troubleshooting skills on all operating systems, laptop and desktop hardware, and other IT devices.
- Knowledge of security and network monitoring tools and applications.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Windows and macOS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Extensive customer support experience with being a good team player.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A service certification like ITIL is preferred.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Prefer any of the following hands-on experience with Windows, Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager), Office 365, Google Workspace/Gsuite, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Windows Server, macOS, Azure Sentinel, AWS Workspaces, AWS EC2, Jamf suite, Sophos endpoint security, Jira service management, MS Hyper-V, VMware Fusion, VMware workstation, OpenVPN, etc.
- Experience in servers and virtualization.
- Experience in network (Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security) infrastructure setup and maintenance.
