Position Description:

The Speech and Language Pathologist in the Early Intervention program provides services to children from birth through three (3) years of age.  The Physical Therapist has oversight responsibilities for their own caseload of Early Intervention clients as assigned to him/her by the Early Intervention Coordinator as referred from Erie County Care Management.   

The Speech and Language Pathologist promotes person-centered planning and clinically appropriate practices such that quality standards are followed in accordance with the agency’s mission, applicable laws, and program-specific regulations. The Speech and Language Pathologist will plan and implement developmentally appropriate intervention strategies in each child’s natural environment and will provide parent coaching and education as well as strategies for use in daily routines.  This position reports to the Director of Early Intervention Services. This position is Per Diem, but can expand into a full time role!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our growing multidisciplinary team of Early Intervention professionals to maximize the potential of children.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate intervention strategies in each child’s natural environment and
  • Provide parent coaching and education as well as strategies for use in daily routines.
  • Make the difference in the life of a child and their family!

Requirements:

  • Must have current PA Speech and Language Pathologist licensure.
  • American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • At least one (1) year experience working with infants and toddlers with diverse abilities.
  • At least one (1) year of discipline specific experience working with infants and toddlers who have diverse abilities.

Time Off: Semi-Annual vacation accrual for those employees working a minimum of 15 hours a week over a six-month period.

Incentives:   1 ½ times the staff’s base hourly rate of pay once their annual productivity expectation has been met.  Roughly 75% of current employees earn incentives- those who do, see an incentive payment of $1,000-$3,000 annually (must work a standard of 30 hours a week).

Retirement: 403(b) Savings Plan enrollment with company match after 1 year (must work at least 20 hours a week).
