Join us and do work that matters: use your skills to improve how your government serves the public! Pluribus Digital partners with our government customers to design, develop, and deliver useful and impactful digital products. We are a hands-on digital services consultancy – part technologists, part change agents, and all heart.  We employ modern best practices in all that we do as we work to solve problems in public health, financial industry regulation, granting citizenship and asylum, and identity and access management.

We’re seeking a cross-functional Sr. UX designer whose deepest expertise lies in content. You’ll need to dive into design tools and workflows while bringing deep expertise in content—strategy, governance, and writing. In this role, content is more than text on a screen; it’s the backbone of how people understand and move through complex processes. You’ll balance hands-on design work with shaping content systems, collaborating across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with federal expectations to deliver clear, accessible, and human-centered experiences.

This role needs the skills outlined below – if you see yourself in this description please apply! We value ongoing employee growth upskilling, ensuring our team members have translatable skills and can be successful across multiple engagements during their career here.

What You'Ll Do:

  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to bring product vision to life through research, design, and content strategy.
  • Manage the content lifecycle—planning, creating, updating, and governing digital content to enhance application experiences.
  • Serve as the primary UX writer—designing, drafting, and refining content across internal- and external-facing products.
  • Design and deliver user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, content drafts, and user stories that lead to effective, human-centered digital experiences.
  • Audit and analyze user data, stakeholder input, and legal/counsel guidance to uncover opportunities and define content strategies.
  • Establish processes that support legal review, consistency, scalability, and sustainability in content management.
  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and product teams by applying human-centered design methods to refine content and design artifacts.
  • Ask great questions to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable content and design deliverables.
  • Be a strong voice in presenting ideas, concepts, and design solutions to gain stakeholder buy-in and encourage constructive critique.

What You Will Bring:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent work experience and certifications
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in Information Technology, focusing on user experience and/or content design within product development teams.
  • Proven ability to lead content design initiatives, including managing content lifecycles.
  • Expertise in plain language writing, UX writing, and accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508).
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience using Figma including digital whiteboarding tool, FigJam.
  • Ability to guide a design process from planning through execution in an independent capacity
  • Strong experience with governing content and managing the content lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product managers, software developers, testers, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous customer requests and diverse perspectives into clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to perform on the job
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to build trust with clients and teammates

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience in government contracting, especially in regulatory industries
  • Knowledge of generative AI and LLM applications for content strategy.
