Job Summary

The LA Clippers are looking to hire a strategic and analytical finance leader to serve as our Director of FP&A, with a strong emphasis on insights, analytics, and data-driven storytelling. In this role you will be a key partner to senior leadership, providing clear, actionable insights from complex data to influence strategic decisions. You will lead the planning, forecasting, and analysis process while building strong cross-functional relationships across the business.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Insights & Storytelling

  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, compelling narratives for executives and stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations that highlight performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Craft and deliver board-level materials that connect the numbers to the business story.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets, providing timely variance analysis and recommendations.

Advanced Analytics

  • Use data analytics tools and techniques to identify trends, measure business performance, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and performance metrics that align with strategic priorities.
  • Partner with Data/BI teams to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and visualization.

Business Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, providing actionable financial and operational insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product, HR) to ensure financial strategies support business objectives.
  • Support investment decisions with robust financial analysis, ROI modeling, and post-implementation reviews.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Contribute to a culture of curiosity, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Champion best practices in financial processes, tools, and reporting standards.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, with at least 1-2 years in leadership role.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and executive-level narratives.
  • Strong modeling skills and expertise in Excel, financial systems, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence and
  • Experience building collaborative relationships across diverse teams and functions.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and leveraging technology for efficiency.
  • Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and positively interact in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

About Intuit Dome:

Opened in August 2024, Intuit Dome is the new home of the LA Clippers and will host hundreds of sporting events and concerts each year. Located in Inglewood, Calif., Intuit Dome is built different -- it will redefine fans’ expectations for live experiences and change the music landscape in Los Angeles.

Set to host the 2026 NBA All-Star game and Olympic Basketball in 2028, Intuit Dome is over 1 million square feet and features our team training center, business operations offices, five full-sized basketball courts, an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza and a double-sided Halo Board composed of more than an acre of LED.

Compensation

  • The range for this position is $170,000 - $180,000  annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The role is classified as exempt.
