About The Role
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for precision? We're seeking a proactive and experienced Revenue Finance Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a crucial role supporting our company's revenue operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes within a fast-paced agency environment.
You'll play a pivotal role in a dynamic blend of administrative, analytical, and accounting tasks, working closely with project teams, operations, and other finance functions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining data integrity within our ERP system (Workday), facilitating smooth project setup, and supporting revenue reporting and control.
This role would be great for you if you're someone looking to gain invaluable, hands-on experience in revenue finance, especially within a dynamic agency environment, and you want to develop or deepen your skills with a leading ERP system like Workday.
What You’Ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth financial operation of our revenue streams, with core duties including:
- Billing & Invoicing: Managing accurate and timely client billing and invoicing via Workday, ensuring compliance with contracts.
- ERP System Management: Precise project setup and ongoing maintenance within Workday, including PO linkage and financial configuration.
- Liaison & Support: Acting as a key contact for invoicing and credit control queries with shared services.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Supporting revenue and project reconciliations, month-end close, and ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Compliance: Maintaining meticulous financial records and ensuring adherence to company policies.
What You’Ll Need
- Proven experience using an ERP system (Workday experience is highly desirable but not essential).
- Previous billing experience gained in an agency setting (e.g., advertising, marketing, PR, creative) is highly advantageous.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including strong proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data manipulation).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- A demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive approach and an ability to take ownership of tasks, seeing them through to completion.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles, particularly those related to revenue and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with time and WIP reconciliations.
