The Flight Software team is a dynamic group that rapidly supports vehicle testing and development for the hypersonic quarter-horse program. The team is responsible for all software to remotely control the aircraft, command control surfaces, navigate the platform, and solve hard embedded programming issues.
Spring: around 12-16 weeks (January - April)Summer: around 10 weeks (May - August)

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of onboard flight software
- Support debugging and resolution of active software issues
- Contribute to the design and implementation of hardware-in-the-loop test setups
- Participate in validation and testing of flight hardware
- Collaborate with the Flight Software team to meet current project needs and milestones
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Entry level experience of C++, C, or other embedded programming languages.
- Experience with working with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s).
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus' mission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- GPA of 3.0 or above
