About The Role
The Business Operations & Marketing Associate is a cross-functional role that blends marketing execution, business development support, and internal operations coordination. You’ll be the connective tissue across proposals, client touchpoints, team culture, and operational reporting—ensuring that the client’s story is told clearly, its systems run smoothly, and its people are supported. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; who brings creativity, structure, and a proactive mindset; and who can balance hands-on execution (InDesign, CRM, social posting) with strategic contributions (process improvement, reporting, and culture-building).
What You’Ll Do
Business Development & Marketing
- Partner with Chris to produce polished proposals, pitch decks, and marketing materials using Adobe InDesign.
- Maintain and refine case studies, bios, and boilerplate content for repeatable use.
- Manage TCLA’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) including content calendars, creation, scheduling, and analytics.
- Draft blog posts (AI-assisted workflows), award submissions, and press features to extend TCLA’s thought leadership.
- Coordinate the firm’s 3-2-1 monthly email and quarterly newsletter, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.
- Support podcast workflows (scheduling, research briefs, coordination, editing support, promotion).
Operations & Internal Support
- Prepare internal update materials and presentations summarizing progress, staffing, and performance tracking.
- Support recruiting and onboarding workflows: maintain trackers, prepare orientation resources, and keep reference docs current (compensation/benefits summaries, recruiting brochures, proposal templates).
- Coordinate employee feedback processes and other firm-wide initiatives to strengthen operations and culture.
- Provide cross-functional support between Marketing/BD and Operations to ensure consistent communication and documentation.
- Seek opportunities to streamline workflows and proactively anticipate team needs.
- Maintain task tracking and reporting tools (Smartsheet, CRM, other systems).
Sales Operations & CRM
- Manage and maintain TCLA’s CRM (PipeDrive), including data entry, pipeline reporting, and quality control.
- Generate weekly/monthly pipeline reports for Chris and leadership.
- Ensure client interactions and opportunities are accurately tracked and visible.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing coordination, business development support, or creative operations.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) with experience producing polished proposals and branded collateral.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and analytics.
- Experience with CRM tools (PipeDrive preferred) and reporting best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and formatting skills, adaptable across proposals, blogs, and social media.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet and comfort with other task tracking/reporting tools.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
- A proactive mindset—someone who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and seeks ways to improve processes.
