About The Position
Golden State is looking for a Director to join the FP&A team to support the growth of the business. In this role, you will partner closely with Accounting, Senior Leadership, and department heads while leading the annual budget and quarterly forecast. We are looking for a self-starter with incredible attention to detail, financial acumen, aptitude for technology, and a desire to work within a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Vice President, FP&A.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the annual financial planning process, including the development of robust revenue, expense and cash forecast assumptions
- Oversee the consolidated planning and forecasting cycles, providing scenario modeling and strategic input to support decision-making across the organization
- Drive the consolidated monthly and quarterly close process by partnering with Accounting, ensuring timely, accurate variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
- Provide financial analysis, guidance and strategic insight to assist in key business decisions (e.g. ROI, DCF, IRR, etc.)
- Present financial insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decisions to optimize growth, margins, and cash generation
- Oversight of a team of managers and financial analysts
- Ad hoc scenario analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years reporting and forecasting in an FP&A environment
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles (e.g., validating accruals/re-class activity)
- Expertise in P&L and cash flow management, including consolidation, variance analysis, and performance tracking at both operational and executive levels
- Strong leadership and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives through data-driven insights and financial acumen
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel (e.g., xlookups, pivot tables, if/then statements and other advanced calculations and formulas)
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems (NetSuite) and/or financial planning systems (Adaptive Planning)
Compensation
- $188,000 - 199,000 + Bonus
