Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
• Improve and ensure monitoring and logging for the system is of the highest standard.
• Ensure systems are secure and safe from vulnerabilities, and ensuring security is maintained with system enhancements. 
• Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.

Qualifications And Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership, come with an attitude of getting stuff done.
• Understanding of security best practices and implementation
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role e.g. Terraform, NodeJS/Typescript etc.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. AWS Code Pipeline, Github Actions) for automating the deployment process.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPC etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
