Join our team at KONE as a Safety and Quality Specialist, where you'll contribute to the implementation, maintenance and improvement of our global safety management system, ensuring the well-being of workers, users, and third parties.

About the Role:
As a Safety and Quality Specialist, you will support the Head of Safety, Quality and Environment based in Turkey in driving safety improvements, fostering a caring culture, and maintaining high safety standards across KONE in Kazakhstan. You will collaborate with global, area, and local teams to uphold the KONE Way for Safety and Quality and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enhance KONE’s and local legislation’s safety management system, emphasizing worker, user, and third-party safety.
  • Act as a role model to cultivate a culture of safety and quality active care.
  • Provide professional advice on safety and quality matters.
  • Plan and execute projects to improve safety practices, working closely with customers and partners.
  • Monitor safety risks and develop effective management tools.
  • Conduct safety audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and manage corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote safety awareness through training, communication, and sharing best practices.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an Engineering department
  • Fluency in the Russian language is required
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Minimum 3 years of field and documentation experience as a Safety and/or Quality Specialist
  • In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety law and related Local regulations
  • Preferably knowledgeable in the elevator, escalator industry, construction, maintenance, and GOST/EN standards
  • Advanced skills in using MS Office programs
  • Ability to train and manage people effectively and communicate proactively
  • Strong skills in incident investigation, auditing, analysis, and problem-solving
  • High level of teamwork and collaboration ability
  • Willingness to travel without restrictions (30% of the time on site)
  • Valid B Class driving license with active driving experience
  • Location – Astana or Almaty, Kazakhstan
