Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supervisor of HVAC, to lead the West Palm Beach facilities HVAC team. This position will oversee a unionized workforce of HVAC technicians across three shifts, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations of all HVAC systems supporting critical site operations. The Senior Supervisor will provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction while maintaining compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise and manage union HVAC technicians across three shifts, ensuring operational coverage and workload balance.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to HVAC technicians to drive performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Engineering, Reliability, and Capital Projects teams to support system upgrades, replacements, and energy initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability-based maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and minimize unplanned outages.
  • Manage labor resources, overtime, and scheduling in alignment with union contract requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coach employees, and address disciplinary issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and compliance inspections.
  • Support emergency response activities related to HVAC and critical systems as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering, facilities management, management, maintenance planning or closely related maintenance/facilities environment, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with ability to drive accountability and results.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide support during off-shift or emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • SAP working knowledge.
  • Experience managing unionized skilled trade employees.
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and labor relations best practices.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience initiatives for HVAC systems.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
