Our Collaborative Mission Autonomy team is looking for an experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. This is an onsite position and can be located in McKinney, TX or El Segundo, CA. This position requires an active DoD Secret security clearance prior to the first day in order to access classified information.

What You Will Do :
- Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams composed of systems, software, test, and hardware engineers
- Have the opportunity to lead a cross-discipline integrated product team.
- Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, flight test, and field support.
- Support systems engineering program deliverables, including but not limited to model-based engineering models, systems architecture artifacts & description documents, and instruction manuals.
- Support and opportunity to lead requirements development & management for our autonomy products, starting from operational analysis down to systems/software requirements.
- Collaborate with customer and user community to develop and refine autonomous system.
- Support the Systems Engineering leadership team to provide an innovative solution that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Demonstrate completion of assigned tasks on time and on budget, and completed work products are of high quality.
- Willingness to travel to support working groups, system integration and test, customer events, and related external activities. This position will require up to 25% domestic travel.
- Demonstrate ability to work well with other team members, teammates, and disciplines.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Experience with requirements decomposition and integration of complex software and hardware systems to enable successful flight tests
- Experience with Integration & Test activities (e.g., Test coordinator/director, writing IV&V plans, gate reviews, etc.)This will include experience working in modern digital engineering development environments and driving integration and test events via Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and full air vehicle integration flight testing
- Experience with requirement management and related tools (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS/DOORS Next Generation
- Domain knowledge in Autonomy systems development and Operational Analysis
- Experience with Cognitive Systems Engineering and working with pilots to design systems based on how they will be used
- Experience with all aspects required to successfully execute on flight test demonstrations of autonomous systems
- Must have previous experience leading a team, Integrated Product Team, or similar, and work well with other team members and across disciplines.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Qualifications We Prefer:
- Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Systems/Software Architecture, Network Communications, and Datalinks.
- Experience in technical writing (e.g., System Engineering Management Plans, Technical reports, Engineering notebooks, Test Plans, Instruction manuals, etc.)
- Experience with System Modeling Language (SysML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) toolsets (e.g., Cameo Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational Rhapsody)
- Familiarity with modeling & simulation, Python language
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as: Agile development/lifecycle, Test Driven Development.
- Demonstrated work is performed without appreciable direction.
- Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Engineering from and ABET approved college or university.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
