The Team

The Area IT Ops Enablement is part of the Tribe Resilience, IT Risk & Security and responsible for delivering the Global ServiceNow services to the IT Community within ING. We have 6 squads responsible for the ServiceNow modules, like ITSM, ITOM, SPM, GRC and SecOps(and related infrastructure) and 1 squad responsible for Reporting. We are globally staffed over The Netherlands, Poland, India and Philippines.

Roles And Responsibilities

We are looking for an IT Area Lead(ITAL) who is an experienced Manager with proven IT Background. As an ITAL you will join the management team of the of the Tribe Resilience, IT Risk & Security & will execute the vision of the Engineering & Reliability domain.

In this role, the ITAL will be responsible for managing all the IT Operations Enablement teams spread across NL, Poland, India & Philippines. You will be focused on enhancing expertise within your Area, mentoring your Chapter Leads, and collaborating with peers to tackle challenges and improve overall performance. You will also co-create the Area vision and ensure effective resource allocation for squads.

Your Area consists of approximately 40 Employees, who have the focus on automation, simplification and standardization.

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field
  • Experienced IT leader with 5+ years of experience in an IT management role
  • Vendor management both for software and consulting services is important
  • Senior Stakeholder management skills are critical for success
  • While not mandatory, knowledge of banking is a big nice-to-have
  • You are passionate about growing and developing technical people
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • You love technology and naturally stay up to date on relevant new developments
  • You value a multi-cultured environment where English is the working language, and you easily get on with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You enjoy to collaborate with architects and engineers to design and implement solutions.
  • You are able to discuss with your stakeholders and product owner about features and stories and can translate these into software with real business value.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • You are able to lead and inspire a group of senior engineers on subject matter.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, Dutch is a pre.
