The Opportunity:
AIA currently has an opportunity available for an experienced Regional Manager to lead our QLD Client Development team within Retail Distribution & Retention. Reporting to the GM Retail Distribution and Retention, the successful incumbent will play an integral role in the promotion of our Life, Health and Wellbeing offering through Financial Advisers. Proudly representing the AIA Australia brand within this core channel, you will be pivotal in building inch wide and mile deep partnerships across our key licensees, practices and advisers to meet all financial metrics including new business and retention.
To be successful within this role you will:
- Work to achieve Region New Business targets by servicing and growing our adviser distribution
- Build and further develop relationships with advisers and their support staff across Life, Health and Wellbeing
- Maintain and develop relationships with local Dealer Group management. This will include but not be limited to conducting monthly licensee, platform & aggregator meetings
- Act as the go-to trusted business partner at the local management level
- Lead and assist staff involved in the sales process by formalising a regular sales meeting schedule, incorporating a sales focus session and providing on the job coaching
- Support the regions Top 50 relationships through the CDM support model and by nurturing Underwriting relationships with the appropriate Client Development Managers
- Act as a key contributor to Retail Distribution and Retention strategic planning initiatives including driving execution for your region and nationally
- Work with the AIA Health team to achieve sales and drive growth at the Region and National level opportunities
- Prepare and present relevant material at PD days, Region based conferences and National conferences
- Work with all internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to drive sustainable results and client outcomes
- Be responsible for all formal people management process including but not limited to MyPDD half yearly and annual process and performance management
Successful Applications Will Demonstrate:
- Experience working within a new business or retail distribution lead role within Financial Advice or the Financial Services Industry
- Financial or Sales Management experience
- Strong people leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach
- Deep Risk insurance experience
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and networking skills
- The ability to facilitate and reconcile adviser issues
- RG146 compliant
