Job Title: Broiler Tech Lead

- Reports To: Broiler Manager or Live Production Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Broiler Tech Lead plays a critical role in supporting live production operations by ensuring accurate data collection, safe handling of supplies, and proper execution of specialized tasks related to processing. This position serves as a key liaison between contract growers and the processing plant, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Blood & Pesticide Pulling for Processing:
- Safely and accurately collect AI blood samples and pesticide data from broiler flocks.
- Ensure samples are properly labeled, stored, and transported according to biosecurity and regulatory protocols.
Farm Supply Distribution:
Deliver and distribute necessary supplies (feed additives, medications, equipment, etc.) to contract growers.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and deliveries.
Data Collection & Reporting:
Collect and record end-processing weights and other performance metrics.
Input data into company systems and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
Grower Support:
Serve as a point of contact for contract growers, providing guidance and support on supply usage and flock health.
Communicate any issues or concerns to management promptly.
Compliance & Safety:
Follow all company policies, biosecurity measures, and safety protocols.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or agricultural training preferred. 2+ years of experience in poultry production or live operations preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with growers and team members. Familiarity with data entry systems and basic computer skills.
