Job Summary:

The Voice Engineer, Associate Vice President will be responsible for the engineering and support of the MUFG Cisco Voice environment at MUFG. The engineer will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the firm’s Voice systems and delivery of best-in-class service. This exciting opportunity will require the implementation of practical solutions to mission critical issues in a high energy environment, and the ability to work with escalation points while managing various vendors. In addition, this role will have accountability for quality assurance, coordinate system upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure product sustainability while ensuring the voice environment is functioning as designed.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Telecommunications team to implement, and/or maintain Cisco Unified Communications systems including but not limited to CUCM, UCCX, Finesse, Jabber and Expressway
  • Support Cisco IP Telephony and Cisco Webex Contact Center Enterprise and all related Cisco IP Telephony infrastructure
  • Lead Voice projects for coordination of circuit installations and turn-ups, design call flows, based on business requirements
  • Support preventative maintenance programs, disaster recovery plans and redundancy plans. Maintain and test these plans regularly
  • Perform the necessary documentation additions, updates and deletions to the in-house documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot Cisco Networks to diagnose root cause and resolve telephony issues
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed and deadlines require and be on a rotational on-call 24x7 schedule
  • Perform operational and administration tasks and configuration changes - Recommend operational enhancements

Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience in a large financial services company or similar environment, with proven 5+ years in a Voice engineering role
  • Technical Skills: In-depth, expert knowledge of Cisco IOS deployment, operations, and troubleshooting, including expertise in cloud connectivity, network infrastructures and expertise in developing diagrams and presentations
  • Technical Knowledge: Voice and data communication protocols (H.323, SIP, LDAP, RTP, QoS), networking, Cisco CUCM, Voice cloud, server operating systems (Linux, Windows) and application software, Microsoft Teams Calling, NICE NTR and Cisco Calabrio call recording platforms and IR Prognosis performance management
  • Certification: CCNA-Voice or CCNP-Voice is required, Collaboration, or other Telecommunications certifications are a plus
  • Microsoft Proficiency: Expertise with Visio, Excel, Outlook and Word with PowerBI and Power Apps experience a plus
  • Nice to have: Both knowledge and experience with IPC Turret, NICE & Calabrio Call Recording, ServiceNow is a plus
  • Soft skills:
  • Must be responsible, initiative-taking, self-starter, engaged and well-organized
  • Excellent communication and people skills are a must have
  • Must be able to multitask, manage multiple projects and pivot with ease as priorities change
  • Ability to thrive and work independently or in a team environment

Education:

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between $102K - $131K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
