The Microsoft Teams Calling Engineer, VP will be responsible for the engineering and support of the MUFG Teams Calling Voice environment, leading the performance management insights, and ensuring the high availability and performance of critical Telecommunications infrastructure leveraging the IR Prognosis solution. This exciting opportunity will require the implementation of practical solutions to mission critical services in a high energy environment, and the ability to work with escalation points while managing various vendors. In addition, this role will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the firm’s Voice systems and delivery of best-in-class service. This role is ideal for a highly skilled senior engineer enthusiastic about partnering with peers to deliver exceptional user experiences and optimizing collaboration tools within a fast paced and energetic organization.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on both Microsoft Teams Calling and Voice Infrastructure IR Prognosis performance management solution
- Operational Readiness: Ensure the operational readiness of Microsoft Teams Calling environment and assist in upskilling of peer group in both environments
- Support and Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Phone System ensuring efficient service delivery
- Incident Management: Lead incident management and troubleshooting processes to enhance service reliability and speedy restoration for Microsoft Teams Phone System and related Voice services as needed
- Performance Management: Lead performance management for Telecommunications Infrastructure leveraging the IR Prognosis solution ensuring visibility and analytics across multi-vendor environments which provide insights that ensure the high availability and performance of critical Voice systems
- Customer Engagement: Consult with business partners to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance on Microsoft Teams capabilities and best practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with architecture, other engineering teams, telephony providers and third-party vendors to enable advanced Voice features in Microsoft Teams
- Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning and executing Microsoft Teams Calling deployments, including number porting, Teams IP phone and SIP gateways
- Deployment and Configuration: Deploying and configuring Microsoft Teams Phone with PSTN connectivity through Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Microsoft Teams Calling Plans
- Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation for engineering and operational teams to ensure clarity and consistency in processes
- Preventative Maintenance: Support presentative maintenance programs, disaster recovery plans and redundancy plans; maintain and test plans regularly
- Risk and Compliance: Lead Risk, regulatory matters, and Vulnerability Management for MS Teams Calling environment, ensuring compliance with FCC E911 regulations, configuring emergency call policies, and integration
- Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible to work extended hours as needed and deadlines required, and be on a rotational on-call 24x7 schedule
Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in a large financial services company or similar environment, with proven 5-10 years in a senior Voice engineering role
- Technical Skills – Teams Calling: In-depth, firsthand knowledge of Microsoft Teams Calling deployment, operations, and troubleshooting, including expertise in cloud connectivity, network infrastructures and expertise in developing diagrams and presentations
- Technical Skills – IR Prognosis: Firsthand knowledge of IR Prognosis deployment, operations, and troubleshooting, including analytics, reporting, and preventive health through monitoring process implementation
- Technical Knowledge: Voice and data communication protocols (H.323, SIP, LDAP, RTP, QoS), networking, Cisco CUCM, Voice cloud, server operating systems (Linux, Windows) and application software
- Certification: Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Expert is preferred or Core O365 platform, Microsoft Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft MS700 Teams Administrator, CCNA-Voice, CCNP-Voice, Collaboration, or other Telecommunications certifications are a plus
- Microsoft 365 Proficiency: Expertise with Visio, familiarity with Azure AD, O365 license management, and O365 Groups, as well as experience with Graph, Power Apps, and Flow
- Nice to have: Both knowledge and experience with IPC Turret, NICE & Calabrio Call Recording, ServiceNow is a plus
- Soft skills:
- Must be responsible, initiative-taking, self-starter, engaged and well-organized
- Excellent communication and people skills are a must have
- Must be able to multitask, manage multiple projects and pivot with ease as priorities change
- Ability to thrive and work independently or in a team environment
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between $138K - $168K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
