The Controllers organization provides financial information for Pfizer Inc. to management, shareholders, and regulators. As part of the Core Operations department of Controllers, the Global Mark-Up Exchange (GMX) group provides an integrated cost, intercompany transfer price, inventory, and markup system. The GMX team and process provides management with data used for both internal and external reporting through extensive collaboration with business partners to ensure intercompany commerce is not disrupted.
The GMX Master Data Maintenance team is primarily responsible for managing the monthly/annual data collection process (set-up and updating of cost chains that include standard costs and intercompany transfer prices), system security and user access. The GMX master data is the key component utilized for the monthly GMX submissions (Intercompany Sales, Intercompany Cost of Sales, Intercompany Profit and Inventory) and detailed analysis of the P&L (primarily cost of goods sold) and balance sheet (inventory and global intercompany mark-up reserve).
This position collaborates with GMX team members and key stakeholders across the organization to maintain the master data governing the GMX data cubes, calculation engine and global inventory reporting. The colleague will coordinate with the Master Data Lead and other Master Data analysts to provide issue resolution and execution of required master data changes on an ongoing basis, supporting the business operations especially during changes to network supply chain flows.
What You Will Achieve
In This Role, You Will:
- Collaborate with Network Supply Master Data, Pfizer Connect, and relevant stakeholders to develop new end-to-end cost chains and maintain existing ones when supply chain flows are altered.
- Understand the rationale of Pfizer Connect projects, evaluate their impacts especially within the GMX Transfer Price and Cost Cubes, and communicate effectively with Finance stakeholders affected by the projects.
- Analyse master data changes to support the Pfizer Budget process and confirm changes with key stakeholders.
- Review GMX master data integrity, including errors in GMX Master data and alignment of GMX master data to other key systems such as Flex Routings and SAP.
- Partner with stakeholders, including Transfer Price COE (TP COE) and Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) to support the dual maintenance of the GMX cost cube, PGS Budget Cube as well as the Transfer Pricing Cube.
- Support the GMX end user community by updating budget process documentation, including guidance on budget cost updates. Provide training and presentations on best practices for identifying and resolving known errors.
- Provide monthly metrics for responsible areas to promote ‘right first time’ approach.
- Continuously improve current processes by first mastering your role & comprehensively understanding the objectives and inherent risks of end-to-end processes. Then collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, propose, and implement enhancements.
- Coordinate development and execution of regular trainings for stakeholders with a specific focus on cost/price maintenance.
- Update SOPs/work instructions to ensure current processes are accurately documented.

- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High level of self-motivation to investigate and learn the logic, details, root causes related to E2E GMX processes.
- Able to flexibly operate in dynamic environment and respond to all standard and ad-hoc requests.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with good time management.
- Highly customer and service minded, with ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong root cause analysis, problem solving, and management reporting skills.
- Good attention to detail, with ability to connect business needs & process risks to identify & escalate potential additional actions beyond standard process.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- A knowledge of intercompany inventory accounting concepts such as intercompany pricing and cost accounting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP, good working knowledge of Accounting Policies and Procedures.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and / or Power BI for data modelling, analysis, and visualisation.
- Familiarity with Database management
- SAP/S4 HANA experience.
- Ability to create and understand complex process flows.
- Project management experience, or an interest to learn.
