Job Summary
As Associate Manager, Brand PR for Dunkin’ (Inspire Brands), you will play a key support role in external PR activities. Your role will be responsible for contributing to unique, ownable campaigns that drive awareness, generate buzz, and enhance engagement to ensure Dunkin’ shows up in culturally relevant ways. A successful candidate for this position should have relevant experience in earned media moments, press materials, brand activations, and influencer programs, with a pulse on what resonates with Millennial and Gen Z audiences. This individual will bring an entrepreneurial and creative mindset, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, always-on environment. This role reports to the Manager, Brand PR, Dunkin’ (Inspire Brands).
This role is onsite and based in Atlanta.
Responsibilities:
PR Campaign Development: Support the execution of Dunkin’s public relations strategies across seasonal programs, new menu items, partnerships, social activations and cross-channel creative initiatives.
Administrative Support: Own key administrative tasks for the PR Manager and PR Director, from managing calendars, scheduling meetings, maintaining PR records, routing materials for review, budgets, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across campaigns.
Agency Coordination: Support the day-to-day management of multiple external agencies, ensuring timely and effective communications. Partner with internal team to help shape and refine agency ideas so they align with brand goals, resonate with target audiences, offer business-building potential, and drive culturally relevant PR impact.
Writing: Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, media pitches, PR/activation campaign copy, external talking points and briefing documents for internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with the marketing team, other cross-functional partners and external partners to ideate and execute brand activation campaigns. Excellent project management skills are required.
Earned Media Authority: Contribute proactive, ownable and buzzworthy ideas that resonate with Dunkin’s audience, ensuring the brand remains culturally relevant beyond planned marketing initiatives.
PR Insights: Stay updated with PR and industry trends to keep the brand at the forefront of conversations. Supports campaign recaps by gathering results, tracking coverage and assisting in evaluating what’s working to inform ongoing improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, PR or relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations or marketing. Agency Experience is preferred
- Operational discipline – ability to lead from idea to execution - manage details on tight timing, key contact for go-to-market execution, budget management, leadership communications, etc.
- Creative mindset grounded in strategy – a desire to constantly challenge the norm with bold, original ideas that will build the brand and business
- Obsessed with culture and finding ways to be authentic and relevant in big moments
- Keen ability to identify a great idea that fits with the brand – honed instincts on what ideas will generate headlines and coverage
Strong Writing Skills
- Experience working closely with social media teams, brand marketers, and marketing agencies
- Passionate about PR and what it takes to do signature, award-winning work
- 5% travel to Boston
