Job Description

This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.  To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Audio/Video Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of media validation. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of the RDK-V platform, audio/video technologies, and device automation techniques to build next-generation capabilities that validate quality and performance using AI/ML models. You will play a key role in designing and developing intelligent validation frameworks, ensuring world-class user experiences across CPE devices.

The ideal candidate will also bring strong expertise in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with hands-on experience in automating device interactions (infrared, HDMI-CEC, ADB, voice control, scripting frameworks). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including AI, platform, and QA engineers—to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance audio/video validation capabilities on the RDK-V platform.
  • Integrate and apply AI/ML models to assess and improve video and audio quality.
  • Develop and implement device automation techniques (ADB, CEC, IR blasters, scripting, voice automation).
  • Build scalable, containerized validation solutions using Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with AI, QA, and platform teams to align solutions with business goals.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues across the audio/video pipeline.
  • Continuously innovate to improve validation efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in audio/video systems development and validation.
  • Strong understanding of the RDK-V platform and CPE device ecosystem.
  • Experience in device automation frameworks and techniques (ADB, CEC, IR, scripting tools).
  • Experience in AI/ML model development and integration (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of media codecs, streaming protocols, and pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale distributed validation systems.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks for AV and device control.
  • Contributions to open-source projects (RDK or media-related).
