Platform Administrator Specialist

Job Description

The Role:

The Platform Administrator The Platform Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, governance, and optimization of SUSE’s enablement technology stack. This includes managing the enterprise Learning Management System (Litmos), administering the Sales Enablement platform (Highspot), and maintaining the asset library (Image Relay).

The role ensures employees, partners, and customers have seamless access to learning programs, enablement content, and assets, supporting compliance, adoption, and overall field effectiveness.

  • The central administrator responsible for system setup, compliance oversight, and top-level governance.
  • Litmos platform administration for all users (employees, partners, customers).
  • Full user and technical support for employees, partners, customers.
  • Expert at course design and structure with the knowledge to offer options and best practices.
  • Oversee the development and ongoing maintenance of the Learning Management System, including documenting system requirements, planning upgrades, and implementing enhancements to support the company's enablement strategy.
  • Learning content deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Reporting And Compliance.

  • Ability to work with other teams to manage integrations and automation (Dell Boomi and Clarus).
  • Evaluate, recommend, and manage potential additional tools or platforms to be added to the enablement technology stack.

Include But Not Limited To:

Litmos System Administration:

  • Assume role of Main Admin
  • Manage and maintain all user roles, groups, permissions, and organizational structure in Litmos.
  • Create and assign courses, learning paths, certifications, and collections.
  • Configure global system settings, workflows, and branding within the Litmos platform.
  • Administer content libraries and course licensing.
  • Manage billing, subscriptions, and system-wide features.

Content Management:

  • Upload and manage course content including but not limited to SCORM, videos, PDFs, and assessments.
  • Coordinate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to publish learning programs.
  • Ensure content is current, well-organized, and aligned with training goals.
  • User & Stakeholder Support:

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to learners, instructors, and managers on the Litmos platform, this includes communication with impacted users
  • Create user guides, walkthroughs, and FAQs tailored to different user roles.
  • Conduct training and onboarding sessions for new users and internal administrators.

Reporting:

  • Create, customize, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports for user progress, compliance, and training metrics using Litmos.
  • Monitor system usage and engagement to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance reports for mandatory training programs.

System Optimization & Integration:

  • Collaborate with IT to support integrations between Litmos and other systems (e.g., Clarus, Workday, Salesforce, Open edX).
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with SAP Litmos support for escalations or system enhancements.
  • Stay current on Litmos product updates and apply best practices to improve the learning experience.

Sales Enablement (Highspot) Support

  • Administer and maintain the Highspot platform to ensure accurate, accessible content.
  • Govern official spots, providing governance training for spot editors.
  • Generate dynamic links for enablement assets.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and scorecards to measure content performance and field engagement.
  • Work with Highspot support to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Support creation of Sales Plays and generate adoption/usage reports for management.

Asset Management (Image Relay)

  • Maintain and update the digital asset library, ensuring proper organization and access.
  • Support upload, tagging, and distribution of marketing and enablement assets.
  • Work with IT to resolve API or sync issues as needed.
  • Support field communications by assisting with Field Memos and monitoring the enablement inbox when requested.

Skills Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience as an LMS Administrator, with at least 2 years using Litmos
  • Strong understanding of eLearning standards (SCORM, API, AICC)
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and capable of creating customized reports
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player and the ability to work with hard customers
