C&I Growth Intern

Commercial & International (C&I) is a diverse and global sector in Leidos that delivers global security solutions, energy infrastructure solutions, and business in the UK and Australia.       

C&I Growth is looking for intern who have an interest in a career in Business Development. The program is designed to prepare high potential interns for future positions in Leidos Growth by exposing them to a variety of challenging work environments and pairing them with leaders who will provide mentoring throughout their internship.

Primary Responsibilities

This position will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Operations and will be responsible for partnering with other leaders and team members from across the Sector to develop, communicate, and help implement strategies to drive profitable Growth. This team is a high-performing group of professionals dedicated to driving growth across Leidos and the Sector. Operating in a fast-paced and strategic environment, the team plays a critical role in advancing the Leidos North Star 2030 strategy and identifying, capturing, and winning new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning Support

• Partners with the Executive Leadership Team to provide research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and situational awareness
• Partners with SVPs/VPs to support the development and implementation of each strategic plan and provides the market research and analysis in order to support decision-making.
• Partners with Corporate Development by investigating and evaluating potential targets for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Manages and fully leverages cross-business Industry Associations to maximum enterprise benefit. Participate in the industry event(s) as thought leader
• Develops and implements Strategy Communication and Cascade process to ensure all the employees are aware of Sector strategies, align with strategies relevant to their roles, and are energized by the future direction.
• Supports corporate events and requests such as the Strategic Advisory Group, Leidos Board of Directors meetings, Investor briefings, and CEO presentations.

Growth Operations Support

• Manage and support projects and data requests to achieve Sector Growth objectives, including but not limited to financial planning/forecast, utilization and time charging of new business funds, contract reconciliation, exception reporting, scheduling gate reviews, and supporting customer engagement activities and pipeline reviews.
• Data integrity and pipeline analysis of Operation BD metric reporting derived from the Leidos Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system using Excel and visualization tools.
• Support Program Execution requirements for tracking and scheduling reviews (e.g. Bid Risk Reviews, Technical Readiness Reviews) and approvals for the Gate Review process

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
