Sr / Principal Yield Engineer

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Yield Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving yield improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes by applying strong data analysis and statistical skills. You will work cross-functionally with Process, Equipment, and Quality Engineering teams to identify yield loss mechanisms, implement corrective actions, and monitor process performance. 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze production data to identify yield detractors and process variability.
• Utilize statistical tools such as JMP to perform root cause analysis and develop data-driven solutions.
• Lead and support yield improvement projects to enhance overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Monitor in-line and end-of-line yield trends; generate regular reports and dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies: Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective/preventive actions and process optimizations.
• Develop and maintain yield models and failure analysis tracking systems.
• Present technical findings and project status to internal stakeholders and management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, or related field).
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis tools; proficiency in JMP is required.
• Solid understanding of SPC, DOE, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team environment.
