Mission Description

  • In our Nairobi Transport Department and reporting to the Fleet Manager.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas: -
  • 1. Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly fleet schedules in line with operational demands.
  • 2. Assign vehicles and drivers to routes, ensuring compliance with driver hours, rest regulations, and customer service requirements.
  • 3. Monitor fleet utilization to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
  • 4. Coordinate with operations teams to align dispatch and delivery plans.
  • 5. Use fleet management systems to track vehicle availability, location, and performance.
  • 6. Monitor fuel usage, trip efficiency, and route optimization to control costs.
  • 7. Maintain accurate records of planned vs. actual trips and investigate variances.
  • 8. Support contingency planning in case of breakdowns, delays, or emergencies.
  • 9. Ensure compliance with transport regulations, permits, and internal policies when scheduling.
  • 10.Generate planning and performance reports for management review

Profile

  • 1. Diploma in Business studies
  • 2.Diploma in Transport and Logistics
  • 3. 1 year experience working in Transport & Logistics Company or C & F.
