About The Role
As a Software Developer at Infront in Lugano, you’ll join a collaborative team enhancing AssetMax, our core financial platform. Developers have the freedom to solve problems their own way, with the team welcoming different approaches and encouraging proactive suggestions and new solutions.
You’ll focus on Java and Python development, building parsers to process custodian bank data for accurate, timely integration. You’ll also work closely with senior developers and product managers, improve build and release pipelines.

What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain Java-based parsers that process, and map raw data files received from custodian banks into the Assetmax system, ensuring accurate and efficient data integration.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, senior developers, and other team members to design and implement new features and improve existing functionalities within the Assetmax platform.
- Utilize cloud technologies and build/release tools such as Jenkins and Nexus to streamline development pipelines and deployment processes.
- Engage in code pairing and review sessions with senior developers to maintain high code quality, share knowledge, and foster continuous learning.
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders to document technical designs, data mappings, and project progress.
- Proactively manage priorities and troubleshoot complex problems in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing technical and financial domain challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in financial software development, data integration, and cloud infrastructure to contribute innovative ideas and improvements.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent in English. German or any EU language is a plus.
- Junior to mid-level software developers with at least two to three years of development experience; strong Java skills are essential, Python knowledge is a plus
- Good time management and prioritization skills to effectively handle a dynamic and sometimes complex workload
- Motivated learners eager to grow both technically and in financial domain knowledge, open to continuous development and adapting to new technologies and frameworks
- Basic understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures, with a strong willingness to deepen technical expertise and adopt new technologies.
- Experience or eagerness to learn cloud technologies, containerization, orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and build/release tools like Jenkins and Nexus.
- Knowledge of database management, preferably with SQL databases such as MySQL.
